The Prompters... we can't live without them!

For over 25 years The Performing Arts Center has relied on a dedicated and untiring group of volunteers, The Prompters. Originally, The Prompters were established to assist with the many responsibilities that were part of PepsiCo Summerfare.

Since then, the organization has grown to 165 members who now support virtually every aspect of The Center's activities throughout the year. Originally a volunteer task force, The Prompters now run a profitable gift shop, organize the annual subscription renewal campaign, and produce a very successful annual crafts fair, "Crafts on Stage". Its new Resource Development Committee undertakes various community and performance-related fund raising events. Many of The Center's performances are staffed by volunteer ushers. In addition, a vital Arts-in-Education department, a member of The Kennedy Center Institute for Performing Arts Centers and Schools, links The Center Series and the college's arts divisions' performances with area school systems.

Such a vibrant volunteer organization is invaluable to The Center.
