The Principal’s Group promotes collaboration between Arts-in-Education and elementary school principals for the purpose of addressing issues in the improvement of education in the arts, specifically successfully integrating the arts into the teaching of other subjects. Three times a year we hold meetings that feature speakers or workshop leaders who discuss topics requested by the Principal’s Group and provides a forum for members to share information about their programs, and an opportunity to network. Members of the Group serve as advisors to Arts-in-Education regarding programming directions, and provide a link to the critical education issues affecting the schools. Principals who would like to participate are welcome to contact the Education Director
Arts-in-Education of The Performing Arts Center, The Teacher Center at Purchase College, The Edith Winthrop Teacher Center of Westchester, and The Scarsdale Teachers Institute are members of the PARTNERS IN EDUCATION PROGRAM of the JOHN F.
