Bill T. Jones
Concert Hall

Master choreographer Bill T. Jones is creating a
new evening-length work inspired by the life, work
and legacy of Abraham Lincoln, born in 1809.
The most ambitious project in the company’s 25-
year history, this new work - "Fondly Do We Hope...
Fervently Do We Pray"- will investigate the
myriad meanings of Lincoln, rejecting accepted
truth as it challenges (and celebrates) the lasting
contributions of this great man.
“Though his works are replete with striking beauty
and emotional power, he has made his mark with
dances that rankle and push, ask questions, and
often get to the very heart of who we are as human
beings.”– The Boston Globe
Bill T. Jones will discuss his work “Fondly Do We Hope … Fervently Do We Pray) at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11 in The Performing Arts Center Repertory Theatre. Admission is free. For more information, call the Ticket Office at (914) 251-6200.
(The lecture is the day before the performance, rather than an hour before the show.)
