A Conversation With BENJAMIN BARBER
Global Interdependence Day
Wednesday, September 14, 7pm

Every challenge we face today - from climate change to terrorism to technology and markets, communication and public health - is global in character. Yet the institutions of democracy we rely on to address these challenges are still locked up inside sovereign states pursuing old logic of independence. In an interdependent world of challenges without borders, we need citizens without borders - democracy without borders. If we are to survive and flourish in liberty, we must either globalize democracy or democratize globalization.

Benjamin Barber is a renowned political scientist, author of Jihad vs. McWorld and the founder of the Interdependence Movement. Come hear him speak and inspire us with his vision for a better future.
