Fifty-five years young and still going strong, this company has managed to embrace changing trends and enthusiastically welcome innovation while remaining true to the essence of classical ballet. Their program at Purchase will chart new, thrilling territory for audiences with two acclaimed works by Italian choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti: Les Quatre Saisons/The Four Seasons set to Vivaldi’s music and charged with sex, power and playfulness; and the raucous and moving Cantata, accompanied by the fabulous four musicians of Gruppo Musicale Assurd.
