Talk Cinema

Gen. Adm. Venue

The next screening will take place
Tuesday, April 29, at 7pm

Don't wait for the release date - see it here first in this series of exclusive pre-release screenings. Harlan Jacobson's Talk Cinema offers audiences the chance to see the best independent and foreign films before their US openings. Plus, each screening features a guest speaker - you'll rub elbows with critics, scholars, and filmmakers during the post-film discussions.

So far this season, our audiences have enjoyed...

September: Reaching for the Moon, the beautifully drawn tale of the tragic love affair between American poet Elizabeth Bishop and Brazilian architect Lota de Macedo Soares.

October: The Broken Circle Breadown, a powerful and moving romantic drama.

November: The lighthearted Italian comedy See You Tomorrow (Ci vediamo domani).

December: A Patriotic Man, from Finnish director Arto Halonen, took a darkly humerous look at doping in competitive sports.

In past seasons audiences previewed blockbusters like Silver Linings Playbook, The Artist, and Melancholia.
