Purchase Dance Company Fall Dance Concert

Experience the unbridled talent of the next generation of professional dance artists during the Purchase Dance Company’s Fall 2018 Concert in the intimate Dance Theater Lab.

The Conservatory of Dance is one of only a handful of conservatories in the world where students can learn what it means to be a dance professional. Performance is an integral and required part of our program. The Purchase Dance Company features select BFA students from the Conservatory of Dance.

Featuring world premieres alongside historical re-stagings, our rich and varied program highlights the dynamic range and technical virtuosity of our dancers, and reflects the Conservatory of Dance’s commitment to providing the best of both classical and contemporary training.

We are delighted to welcome home acclaimed alumna Rena Butler ’11 who will create a fresh re-working of one of her recent pieces.  In celebration of the female choreographer, we also welcome back leading Romanian choreographer Ana Maria Lucaciu, whose work was last seen on the Purchase Dance Company during our 2017 season at New York Live Arts. We shine a spotlight on 20th century dance artist Anna Sokolow with an important mounting of one of her masterpieces. Finally, we round out the program with Norbert De La Cruz III’s Lunar, a demanding and ethereal pointe work set to a luscious original score by Nathan Prillaman.

This event does not take place at The PAC. Advance tickets are available through The PAC Box Office. Day of show tickets can be purchased at the Dance Theater Lab door, cash and check only/no credit card.
