On Saturday, October 29, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center will open their 2022-2023 three-concert series at The Purchase PAC with American Visitors. This event marks the return of CMS to our Recital Hall stage for the first time since 2020. We celebrate with a Culture Picks post that offers a peek behind the curtain at this extraordinary program. Enjoy the music, get to know the participating artists, and consider joining us to experience it all live on the 29th.

Artist Notes / Stella Chen
Artist Notes is a new series of digital shorts chronicling an artist’s relationship with a particular work. In this first film, violinist Stella Chen explores her approach to Dvořák’s Sonatina in G major for Violin and Piano, Op. 100 (1893), which she performs in the American Visitors program. She also considers this work in the context of her career and what led her to the violin in the first place.

Culture Picks is a bi-weekly feature celebrating the performing arts. The PAC’s 2022-2023 season kicked off on October 8 and cultural connoisseur and PAC staff member Coni Guhl is here to shine the spotlight on artists that will be a part of it. Each post will feature her curated selection of video, audio, and things to read about one of our artists, plus an occasional recommendation about other performing arts experiences that you just can’t miss. Enjoy!

All times are EDT unless otherwise noted.
