Welcome to our Living Room
“What happens in a living room? Shared experience and critical conversation. At The Performing Arts Center, we provide experiences that inspire, engage, spark conversations, and make connections; in so doing, we will enhance our reputation as a welcoming community hub for an increasingly diverse audience base.”
In June 2019, Seth Soloway, Director of the Performing Arts Center, Purchase College, used these words to announce his vision for a live performing arts season that, with a heavy focus on engagement and collaboration, would reinvent The PAC as a living room for the entire community. At the time, we could not have guessed that in March of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic would shut our doors, truncating the 2019-2020 season and inspiring a pivot to virtual programming.
This project, The PAC in Your Living Room, encompasses a broad range of efforts by The PAC to expand virtual arts offerings and develop innovative ways to deliver programming – to “inspire, engage, spark conversation, and make connections” – directly to you at home, in your very own living room.
