October ended with us all doing the Time Warp, again.  I hope you all enjoyed The Rocky Horror Picture Show! Now it’s November and we’ve turned our clocks back, but don’t let the dark evenings and cooler weather stop you from getting out there and experiencing the arts. The 2025 NAACP Image Award winner and five-time Grammy-winning Purchase alum makes her debut on Austin City Limits on PBS stations nationwide on Saturday, November 1, at 8pm. Following the initial broadcast of Joy’s Austin City Limits debut, the full episode will be available to stream online.

PBS Great Performances presents Twelfth Night
Premiering Friday, November 14 at 9pm on PBS (check local listings)
The Shakespearean comedy of mistaken identity tells the romantic misadventures of twins Sebastian and Viola after they survive a shipwreck, including revenge plots and tricks of love. Recorded this summer at the newly renovated Delacorte Theater in Central Park, the production is directed by Tony Award nominee Saheem Ali.  The ensemble includes Purchase alum Precious Omigie.

The Rye Storytellers Guild presents Tellabration! 2025
Saturday, November 15, from 1-3pm
Rye Free Reading Room, 1061 Boston Post Road, Rye, NY
Tellabration began in 1988 as an event dedicated to storytelling and story-listening.  It takes place around the world during the month of November.  The Rye Storytellers Guild has participated since its inception.  Attendees will have the chance to help create a new story as well as to listen to seasoned tellers present diverse tales.  Refreshments will be served at this free event.
