The Conservatory of Dance presents the Purchase Dance Company in Fuse, an exhilarating concert featuring two renowned repertory works and two exciting world premieres that showcase the dynamic range of our professional-caliber students and reflect the Conservatory’s stature as a leading center for world-class dance training.
We are honored to present an excerpt of Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company’s historic work, D-Man in the Waters (1989). We welcomed the return of acclaimed Dance alumni Rosalynde LeBlanc (‘94) and Jada Jenai (‘18) who directed our students through the re-staging alongside fellow Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company member Jacoby Pruitt.
We are thrilled to perform excerpts from Complexions Contemporary Ballet’s complex work Bach 25 (2018), which was expertly staged by Artistic Associate and Repetiteur Miguel Solano.
Two exciting commissions have enabled our students to be an integral part of the creative process. Dance faculty member and Artistic Director of MBDance, RiaGrace Bauman, will keep the audience riveted with an innovative contemporary work, Tremors (world premiere), created expressly for this season.
In another exciting first, Dual Rivet, co-directed by Chelsea Ainsworth and Dance alum Jessica Smith (‘17) celebrates our Seniors with a highly physical new work that showcases the talents of our graduating class.
