Accessibility Information
At The Purchase PAC, we strive to ensure that your experience is comfortable and stress-free. Please review the information below. If you have further questions, or if you will require assistance upon arrival or accommodations for equal access to any of our events, please contact our box office at 914-251-6200 or center@purchase.edu before the event so that a good-faith effort can be made to meet identified needs.
Parking
Parking for Purchase PAC events is in the West 1 (W1) Parking Lot. There are a number of designated accessible parking spots closest to the theatre. Drivers accompanying guests with accessibility needs may drop passengers off closer to the entrance by pulling into the underpass. The main Lower Lobby entrance is on the left. The entrance to the elevator for Upper Lobby access is on the right-hand side. The underpass is one-way; drivers will need to circle back to the W1 lot to park.
Lobby Access
The box office, main restrooms, and Concert Hall entrance are located in the Lower Lobby, which is at street level. Entrance to the PepsiCo Theatre, Recital Hall, and Repertory Theatres is from the Upper Lobby, which can be accessed by stairs from the Lower Lobby or by using the elevator located on the opposite side of the street from the main entrance. Our ushers are available to help guide guests to the elevator.
Seating
Concert Hall
Wheelchair seating is available at the back of the theatre, house right, behind Row R. The Concert Hall Orchestra level is designed with continental seating (long rows with no center aisle). There is a ramp that allows access from house left. Note that the ramp becomes steeper as you near the stage; seats further back are easier to access. Accessing seats on the house right side of the orchestra level requires navigating stairs or entering the row from the left. After seating, walkers and rollators must be set outside the theatre by an usher; they will be returned at intermission and/or at the end of the performance. The Grand Tier and Top Tier levels are only accessible by stairs.
PepsiCo Theater
Wheelchair seating is available at the back of the theatre, house left, behind Row P. To access all other seating, there are five steps down as you enter the theatre, and an additional two steps to reach the last row, Row P. Each subsequent row in the theatre requires another two steps down. After seating, walkers and rollators must be set outside the theatre by an usher; they will be returned at intermission and/or at the end of the performance. The balcony is only accessible by stairs.
Recital Hall
Wheelchair seating is available at the back of the theatre, house right, in Row S. Row S and Row D have no-stair access, all other seats require navigating steps. Access to Row S is from the Upper Lobby. No-stair access to Row D is from the street-level stage entrance and can be requested from an usher or at the box office when you arrive for the performance. After seating, walkers and rollators must be set outside the theatre by an usher; they will be returned at intermission and/or at the end of the performance.
Repertory Theatre
Wheelchair-accessible seating is available at all performances. Due to the flexible nature of this performance space, the exact location of wheelchair-accessible seating may vary from one production to the next. For questions about a specific production, please contact us at center@purchase.edu.
Restrooms
Primary restrooms are located in the Lower Lobby; they include an accessible stall. There is also a single accessible bathroom in the Upper Lobby near the elevator and the Repertory Theatre.
