A Complexions Contemporary Ballet performance is a liberating experience. Led by dance icons Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson, this is ballet like you’ve never seen it before — high-octane movement, stunning physicality, and a groundbreaking mix of methods, styles, and cultural influences.
The program begins with a selection of mixed repertory; after intermission, you’ll experience For Crying Out Loud. Set to 10 songs from U2’s acoustic album Songs of Surrender, the piece unfolds in an interconnected “wandering narrative,” the full company shines in its diversity, and the raw physicality of individual dancers is undeniable.
